Velo 9

Good support service

Works great, love these computers on my bikes for keeping track of the necessities. Simple setup, reliable and easy to see.

Switched to "wired" Velo 9 because of reliability issues with "wireless" models Padrone Plus Black CC-PA110W and Velo. Both "wireless" models failed to provi9de consistently accurate miles. Gave up on wireless and switched back to "wired" that have served me well over the past 15-20yr.

The Velo 7 I purchased years ago is hard to read while riding unless the angle it just right. This Velo 9, so far, is much better. It looks like they may have changed the material for the lens. I can read it easily and quickly with minimal distraction from riding. I would have liked a little more wire between the pickup and the mounting for the Velo 9, but it will do. The instructions with details on exact wheel sizes is very helpful.

I have had a Cateye computer on all my bikes for more than 30 years. Fancy GPS units are great, but they need to be charged and can provide information overload: A simple device powered by a watch battery provides me with more than enough information on most of my rides, minimizes hassle, and works every time. Cateye wired bike computers are the best! Recent updates make them easier to use and easier to read. Great products.
